I see, I see Mr. Cancer – This is How It’s Going to Work!

So this is how it’s going to work?

Yesterday was my best day since Thursday’s first chemo treatment and so far today (Wednesday) is rivaling the worst.

There seems to be a natural reaction that the further removed from the day of chemo the better one should feel. Now, I know it doesn’t work that way but it remains a logical thought.

I even showered and went into the office yesterday around 1 p.m. I got one task done in about 45 minutes and started getting a headache, then within a few minutes I felt ‘woozy.’ It’s hard to focus I’ve noticed, even reading on my front porch with water, the dog, and beautiful weather.

So today I woke up with mild nausea, headache, upset stomach, and a little side effect from side effect medicine. Oh joy! No trip into work today.

I have discovered that time on the porch, with a wonderful breeze, my dog Eddie, and passing neighbors helps a lot. The learning process clearly continues.
